Moves International is a Sydney-based education and migration consultancy supporting international students and skilled migrants with university admissions, visa applications, permanent residency pathways, career counselling, and health insurance
The organisation needed more than a conventional service website. It required a scalable digital platform that could operate as a searchable course and institution database, a comprehensive Australian visa information library, a consultation-booking system, and a gateway to its internal staff portal—all within a fast, intuitive, and SEO-focused user experience.
M4YOURS IT designed and developed a modern, decoupled web platform using Next.js and a headless content architecture. This approach gives the Moves International team greater control over its growing content library while keeping the public-facing website fast, responsive, and search-friendly.
The Challenge
Education and migration consultancies manage a large and constantly evolving body of information. Moves International needed to present an extensive course catalogue, more than 130 partner institutions across Australia, and numerous visa subclasses—each with its own eligibility criteria, requirements, and application process.
The platform had to solve four core challenges:
- Content at scale: Courses, institutions, visa subclasses, services, events, and articles needed to be managed by non-technical staff rather than hard-coded into the website.
- Search visibility: Individual course, institution, and visa pages needed clean, indexable URLs and optimised page structures to capture high-intent organic searches.
- Lead generation: Visitors needed clear, low-friction pathways to book consultations, request callbacks, and submit service-specific enquiries.
- Internal operations: Counsellors required a dedicated staff portal that remained separate from the public marketing platform.
What We Built
Searchable Course Catalogue
We developed a dynamic course catalogue organised across major fields of study, including Information Technology, Nursing and Health, Engineering, Education, Architecture and Building, Human Services, Hospitality, Management and Commerce, and more.
Users can browse relevant study options through category-based filtering, query-driven results, and pagination. This makes a large catalogue easier to explore while keeping filtered views shareable and accessible.
Institution Directory
The platform includes a structured directory of more than 130 Australian universities and colleges, with filtering by state and location, including New South Wales, Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory, Western Australia, Tasmania, and other regions.
Each institution has a dedicated, SEO-friendly landing page. This gives prospective students a clear path to explore providers while helping the website target long-tail searches related to studying at specific Australian universities and colleges.
Migration and Visa Reference Library
We created a comprehensive information architecture for Australian migration and visa content. Visa subclasses are grouped into clear categories so visitors can locate relevant pathways without navigating an overwhelming list.
The library covers:
- Study and graduate visas, including subclasses 500, 590, 485, and 476
- Visitor and working-holiday visas, including subclasses 600, 601, 651, 417, and 462
- Employer-sponsored and training visas, including subclasses 482, 186, 494, 407, and 408
- Family, partner, and parent visas, including subclasses 309/100, 820/801, 300, 103, 143, 864, and 870

- Refugee, humanitarian, bridging, and other visa categories
Each subclass is presented on its own indexable route, transforming the platform into a structured reference resource for users researching Australian migration options
Consultation and Booking Funnel
Multiple conversion pathways are integrated throughout the platform, including:
- Virtual counselling sessions
- Face-to-face appointment booking
- Callback request forms
- General and service-specific enquiry forms
- Counsellor, date, and time selection
- Academic background and study-preference collection
These calls to action are positioned across key pages so prospective clients can move from research to consultation with minimal friction.

Next.js Front End
The front end was developed with Next.js and React. Its hybrid rendering capabilities allow marketing and reference pages to benefit from server-side rendering and static generation, while course search, filtering, and other interactive experiences remain dynamic.
This architecture helps a large collection of course, institution, and visa pages stay fast, responsive, and accessible to search engines.
Decoupled Content Architecture
The public website connects to a dedicated backend API at .., which serves structured content and media. Separating the content layer from the presentation layer enables the Moves International team to update courses, institutions, visa information, services, and articles without modifying the front-end code.
The decoupled architecture also makes the platform easier to maintain, extend, and deploy as the organisation grows.
Query-Driven Filtering and Pagination
Course and institution discovery uses URL-based query parameters for categories, states, and page numbers. Filtered views can therefore be shared and bookmarked, while the navigation remains transparent and user-friendly.
SEO-First Routing
Clean, descriptive URLs were implemented across course, institution, service, and visa-subclass pages. This page structure supports topical relevance, long-tail search visibility, and a scalable organic search strategy.
Optimised Media Delivery
Next.js image optimisation automatically resizes and delivers suitable media for different devices. This helps reduce unnecessary page weight across an image-rich platform containing institution logos, hero visuals, story tiles, and editorial content.
Subdomain Separation
The public website, backend API, and authenticated staff portal operate across separate subdomains. This creates clearer architectural boundaries and allows each part of the platform to be maintained and scaled independently.
